My counselling work includes working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and those who are struggling with relationships and finding their place/meaning in the world.
About me and my practice
My counselling practice is based on a humanistic integrative training involving Psychodynamic, Person Centred and Cognitive and Behavioural approaches.
I strive to provide a non-judgemental, safe counselling space and my approach is warm and empathetic, utilising different ways of working relative to each client, with the relationship between myself and the client at its core.
This may involve exploring developmental stages and life experiences, empowering clients to bring aspects of themselves, their feelings and behaviours into awareness and introducing elements of psycho-education to support the principles of change, understanding and acceptance, widening their window of tolerance and learning new coping skills and strategies.
Experience
I am a fully qualified and registered BACP Counsellor. My experience includes over 2.5 years of delivering support services at Mind in Haringey (MiH).
Qualifications
I gained my Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling at CPPD in North London.
